In the evening of Friday 25th November, six girls participated in the internal preliminary round of the Coach House Piano Competition. The standard of playing was exceptionally high, and Ms Palfreyman and Miss Arthur had some very difficult decisions to make in adjudication!

Our winner and chosen representative of St Mary's Calne, whose performance has been submitted to Coach House for adjudication by concert pianist Yulia Chaplina, is Coco (UV).

Six finalists from schools across the country will be shortlisted to perform in the final in March 2023 at Bromsgrove School. Good luck and congratulations, Coco!

Alongside Coco, our runner up was Myra (UIV), with highly commended performances from Letty (UIV) and Deborah (LVI).

Well done to all girls involved. All performers have received credits, and will receive certificates in the next Music Chapel; additionally, all girls were provided with written feedback on their performances.
