Mandarin pupils created Chinese ‘God of Wealth’ (cai-shen-ye, 财神爷) fruit platters and learnt the interesting traditional practice called ‘Greeting the God of Wealth’, which takes place on the fifth day of Chinese New Year.

It is a traditional custom to celebrate Lunar New Year in China and many Mandarin-speaking communities. 'Greeting the God of Wealth' is believed to bring fortune to people. It was fun and joyful activity and, above all, the fruit is healthy and delicious!
