St Mary's Calne
On Friday 17th November, a beautiful bright and chilly day, we started the festive season in wonderful style with our hugely successful PGSM Christmas Fair.
This year, we had some fantastic new external stalls including: Burulu, Chukka Belts, Flora Watson Designs, Herringbone & Plaid, PJ’s, The Real Boar Co, and many others. In addition, we had wonderful food and hot drinks provided by Caroline's Little Kitchen warming us up with soups, savoury and sweet crêpes, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and mulled wine – adding to the festive atmosphere of the fair!
The PGSM stalls were, once again, very popular with the Bottle and Chocolate Tombola - which had even more donations than in previous years! The Raffle, which featured a fantastic array of prizes to be won, also created great excitement among parents, students and staff. Thank you to everyone who generously donated prizes, it is very much appreciated.
beeco. (Bee Wise, Bee Eco), St Mary's Young Enterprise Company this year, did a fantastic job selling their beeswax wraps, rolled candles and beeswax tealights in oyster shells. Do follow them on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/beeco.ye.
The PGSM Committee would like to thank everyone for supporting this event, through your donations to the stalls as well as by attending and purchasing items on the day. It was a great way for many of us to get a head start on our Christmas shopping!
We know that everyone has been patiently waiting to find out the total raised. We are delighted to announce that a fantastic total of £9,020 was raised, just over £2,600 more than last year! Congratulations to everyone involved!
