St Mary's Calne
Half Term was a busy and successful time for the Equestrian Team with students competing at the National Schools Championships at Addington Equestrian and the Eventer Challenge at Rectory Park.
At the National Schools Championships, Niamh R. (LV) rode two excellent rounds in the 1m10 final to place 4th overall. The team of Niamh R. (LV), Elizabeth H. (LIV), Florence O. (UV) and Honor I. (LVI) competed in the 1m-1m05 class as a team. They all rode really well, manging to get the team through to the jump off where they finished 8th overall. A fantastic achievement.
We then spent two days at Rectory Farm competing in the Eventer Challenge. Esme H. (LV), Martha R. (UIV), Kitty F. (MIV) and Niamh R. (LV) competed on the Friday with them all riding some excellent rounds. Kitty F. placed 8th Individually in the 75cm and Niamh R. finished 3rd and 6th on her two ponies in the 1m05 class qualifying one for the Hickstead Finals.
On the Saturday, the team of Willa R. (UIV), Darcy J. (UIV) and Kitty F. (MIV) competed in the 85cm finishing 4th as a team with Kitty F. finishing 8th individually and Darcy J. finishing 2nd gaining an individual qualification for Hickstead.
In the 95cm class, the team of Willa R. (UIV), Darcy J. (UIV), Honor I. (LVI) and Florence O. (UV) finished 2nd, qualifying them all for Hickstead with Darcy J. finishing in 2nd place individually again.
In the final class of the day, the team of Willa R. (UIV), Elizabeth H. (LIV) and Honor I. (LVI) all jumped well placing 2nd as a team and also getting another qualification for the Hicksted Finals with Willa gaining an Individual 2nd place.
Well done all girls, you all rode fantastically!
