On Monday 4th December, the Sixth Form Historians participated in an online webinar organised by the National Archives and presented by Jenny Draper. Famous Historian, Tracy Borman, talked students through her favourite original sources, as found in the National Archives. She also answered questions that students could submit live which gave us a fascinating insight not only into the events of the Tudor period, but also about the process of historical writing and interpretation.

The also students relished the chance to try and work out what Tudor handwriting was actually saying – which is a lot harder than it sounds!

A wonderful snippet into the vast collection held at the archives, and prompting further discussions on what it means to be an historian.
