This week, our LIV Choir and Junior Consort spread Chistmas cheer and joy as they sang to residents in local retirement homes. Firstly, on Monday afternoon, Dr Gibbs, Mr Joyce and the LIV Choir took a trip to local retirement home, Penn Court. Dressed in their Christmas finery, the girls had the residents singing along with some festive favourites! Well done to everybody involved.

On Tuesday, it was the Junior Consort's turn as they went on a Christmas mini-tour with Mrs Dudley Fryar! Sporting Santa hats and tinsel - and exuding large amounts of festive spirit, the young choir travelled to St Andrew’s Lodge and Fairways Retirement Village, Chippenham.

The afternoon was spent singing Christmas carols, evergreen Christmas classics and ensuring the audiences had a jolly time. Solos were mingled with folk arrangements and newly composed choral works to entertain the exceptionally warm and delighted audiences. 'When I retire, I want to come here,' said Hero on experiencing the lovely surroundings and care given! The Christmas music was certainly a hit and all the solos, duets, and small ensembles showed great character and beautiful singing.

Thank you to all the girls and Mrs Black and Mrs Allard.
