The annual Sixth Form Fair took place on Saturday 16th September, with UV parents joining their daughters to find out more about the Sixth Form experience and opportunities.
Mr Smyth welcomed all of our families, followed by Ms Holloway’s classically themed introduction to the Sixth Form and the ‘Metamorphoses’ to be anticipated over these exciting two years. Deputy Head Girl, Aurora, also addressed and impressed everyone with her personal experiences.
Heads of all our academic departments were on hand to offer personalised insight into their A Level courses, and tours of the Florence Dyas House were offered by our current UVI, who enthusiastically shared their perspective on Sixth Form life and learning.
It is always an exciting privilege to imagine themselves in the prized ensuite study bedrooms and homely communal areas and kitchens on each floor– not forgetting the Sixth Form Bar and in-house Dining Room!
We were delighted to be able to welcome families in and hold many fruitful discussions at this early stage of evolving decisions about the girls’ futures, with parents commenting how useful they found the day.
Ms Laura Holloway, Director of Sixth Form, Higher Education & Professional Guidance.
