This week we are celebrating great news for four of our sporting stars - Eva-Rose, Eloise (both UVI), Libby and Freya (both LVI) - who have received special recognition in hockey and lacrosse.
Firstly, congratulations to Eva-Rose (UVI) on her pursuit for excellence in both hockey and lacrosse. In hockey, her determination and passion, coupled with her athleticism and ability, have secured her a place in the Bath Buccaneers Ladies 1st team, where she will be playing in the Women's Division 1 South League. In lacrosse, she was selected for the National Lacrosse Academy, following recent trials. Wonderful achievements and we wish her the best of luck in both pursuits.
We are pleased to share that Eloise (UVI) has also been selected for the England Lacrosse National Academy, which is the top section of the talent pathway for England Lacrosse. This gives the students an opportunity to compete for a position on the U20 World Cup team next summer, taking place in Hong Kong.
We also congratulate lacrosse players, Libby (LVI), who has been selected to the Wales Academy, and Freya (LVI), who is already a member of the Welsh Academy, as they train for a position on the Wales U20 World Cup team.
Well done to all!
Mr David Abini, Head of Lacrosse
