On Friday, Religious Studies A Level students went to an A Level RS Conference held at Wells Cathedral School. The four sessions were led by Chris Eyre, Principle Examiner, who offered us helpful insights into essay writing and exam techniques.
The day was split into four sessions, and we discussed the validity of the Ontological Argument and the ethical theory Utilitarianism in the morning. This was a great opportunity to revise these topics for our exams but also look at these areas of philosophy and ethics beyond our specification.
In the afternoon, Chris Eyre evaluated the role of the Bible as an ethical guide book for Christian living and presented an exam skills session.
Overall it was a really interesting day, we all learnt a lot and would like to say a big thank you to Mr Thomas and Mr Waldron for taking us to Wells!
