St Mary's Calne
Ever since our first Dance Show at St Mary's, we all knew we wanted to be Dance Leaders. To be able to work with amazing young students from a local primary school, create dances, rehearse with them each week and support them through a performance was an amazing opportunity, and this year's Dance Showcase, with a musical theatre theme, did not disappoint!
The LV Dance Leaders ran everything from lighting, to backstage areas, to rehearsals, front of house and the actual choreography; we were given the opportunity to try it all!
The Dance Showcase also featured amazing vocal performances from Izzy, Elowen, Isla, Hermione, Ami and Mia; it was amazing to allow their musical talents to shine.
LIV and MIV performed two high energy and complicated routines with energy and enthusiasm, and our youngest performers (Year 3 and 4 from Heddington Primary School!) were truly a highlight of the evening. We will miss working with them each week but we look forward to supporting them perform this same dance at a local dance festival in March!
