The LVI Drama group were privileged to work with Rhum + Clay, the very practitioner they are studying and replicating for their devised play, the centrepiece of their first year A Level work.

After watching their latest terrific show, Project Dictator, back in October, the group were visited for an initial development afternoon with Julian Spooner of Rhum + Clay. Last Tuesday's follow up workshop featured a full day of working with Matthew Wells, the other half of the celebrated company, that puts physicality and engagement at the heart of all their shows.

Matt started with an extended warm-up session that generated instant material and then worked with each of the two performance groups on the development of their own pieces, producing some scintillating results with a showing of material at the end of the day.  Matt was the perfect workshop leader – inspiring and supportive - and is looking forward to coming to see the finished pieces in the middle of May.

A fantastic day of dramatic devising for all concerned!
