On Thursday 22nd February, Miss Thorpe and Ms Chappell took a group of six MIV students to represent St Mary's at the local round of the Institute of Engineering’s Faraday Challenge, hosted at St John’s School in Marlborough.
The girls competed against six other schools in designing and constructing a prototype to solve a given problem. They had to work together and learn some technical skills along the way to produce a working prototype, as they experienced what it would be like to work as an engineer.
They came close runners-up in the competition but overall, a good day was had by all.
