For Black History Month this year, the Guide and Ranger unit celebrated 'sheroes' - inspiring women from Black history. The girls created textile pieces to honour influential female figures, ranging from well-known names like Mary Seacole and Malorie Blackman to lesser-known heroes such as Claudia Jones, founder of the West Indian Gazette. Mr. Stoten also highlighted Claudia Jones in this week’s Black History Month chapel, which focused on the Bristol Bus Boycott.

In addition to learning about these remarkable women, the Guides and Rangers had the opportunity to use the new unit flags for the first time, preparing for next week's Promise Ceremony.
