Last week, St Mary's witnessed an exhilarating display of athleticism and school spirit during the Inter Company Cross Country event. Held over two days, the competition saw students from Fourth Form push their limits and showcase their endurance. On Tuesday, the UIV raced in true cross-country weather - cloudy with a with a slight drizzle. Sophia S-P took first place for Grosstete however, it was Osmund that won overall.
The excitement continued on Wednesday with the MIV and LIV racing in beautiful sunshine. The MIV ran first, with excellent support and cheering on the sidelines from the LIV. Octavia S-P followed her sisters’ footsteps, winning the MIV event.
In the LIV category, Charlotte P from Osmund took home the top spot, further fuelling the competitive spirit and enthusiasm among the participants.

The house competition was fierce, and the final standings reflected the dedication and hard work of all participants. The company with the lowest number of points came out on top:
1. Osmund - 227 points
2. Moberly - 267 points
3. Ed Rich - 290 points
4. Poore - 305 points
5. Grosstete - 320 points
Osmund emerged as the overall winner, showcasing a blend of strategic running and team support that proved unbeatable. Congratulations to all the winners and participants for their outstanding performances and sportsmanship.
