On Saturday 16 November, St Mary’s brought the energy as eight teams travelled to compete in an exciting block fixture against Wycombe Abbey. Adding to the buzz, the entire LIV year group joined in to participate in an adapted-rules competition.
The day was action-packed with intense and competitive matches against strong Wycombe Abbey teams, with the Seniors battling it out in closely fought games and the Junior age groups rising to meet tough challenges head-on.
There were plenty of standout moments, but special highlights included a stunning 6-0 victory for the U12 A Team and a nail-biting 7-7 draw for the U18 B Team.
The LIV, who had a brilliant afternoon at their first all year away-game fixture, said about the fixture:
'The team spirit was very encouraging and the teamwork helped us win,' Kate (LIV, A Team)
'The fixture at Wycombe Abbey really helped me build confidence in lacrosse,' Charlotte R. (LIV, B Team)
'I thought everyone from Wycombe Abbey was very nice and everyone was so supportive of each other,' Holly (LIV, B Team)
Well done to everyone who took part - it was a day filled with fantastic effort, determination and team spirit that left everyone feeling proud of their achievements.
