St Mary's Calne
The highly anticipated staff vs students hockey game kicked off with much excitement from both teams and the eager crowd. The atmosphere was brilliant, with each player eager to show off their skills and bring their best to the field. Played in fantastic spirits, both the staff and student teams pulled off some incredible passes, razor-sharp shots, and tight defences that kept the crowd on the edge of their seats.
As the final whistle blew, the score remained deadlocked at 0-0, prompting a decision to extend the game by another 10 minutes in the hope of finding a winner. The UVI team came out with renewed energy, starting fast and showcasing impressive composure and teamwork. They pressed hard, but despite their efforts, the staff team held firm, eventually sealing the victory with a 2-0 win.
Overall, the game was a massive success, sparking camaraderie, excitement, and plenty of cheering from both sides. Thank you to everyone who participated - both on and off the pitch!
