On the evening of Tuesday 12 November, we eagerly made our way to Cheltenham Ladies’ College for an exciting three-way gala featuring Stroud High School. Although we arrived a little later than planned, our swimmers quickly pulled together and gave their all in the opening events.

The Senior squad showed incredible determination despite being short on numbers due to illness and other commitments. Lauren (LV) and Mathilda (LV) stepped up admirably to swim in an older age group, joining forces with Nara and Halia. Their hard work and teamwork paid off, resulting in a fantastic three-way tie, earning 25 points alongside CLC and Stroud High.

The Intermediates faced a challenging start, with the A Team finishing 6th and the B Team finishing 5th in the Medley Relay. However, they rallied with grit and determination, building momentum as the evening progressed. Their efforts were rewarded, with the A Team climbing up to secure a brilliant second place overall, just behind Stroud High.

The Juniors displayed exceptional spirit and tenacity, keeping themselves firmly in the race throughout the gala. Their dedication saw them finish a very close third, just behind Stroud High and CLC.

Swimmers of the Meet

Seniors: Nara (UV) for her fantastic win in the individual 50m Breaststroke and finishing a close second in the 50m Freestyle.
Intermediates:
Florence B (LV), for her impressive wins in both her individual races, the 50m Butterfly and 50m Freestyle.
Juniors:
Miya (LIV), who delivered a standout performance with a win in the individual 50m Backstroke.

It was an evening of resilience, teamwork, and fantastic swimming - well done to all!
