On Monday 9 December, LVI and UVI RS students attended the A-Level Philosophy, Ethics and Religion Masterclass at Oxford University. The day consisted of four lectures hosted by different theological experts, including the famous Professor Alister McGrath, on the following topics: death and the afterlife, the rationality of believing in God, the evolving role of women in the Church and the morality of abortion.
Students also engaged in a friendly debate about whether Natural Moral Law is still useful in modern society or not; we decided that the theory was no longer useful, as it is outdated and too subjective.
Overall, the trip was intellectually stimulating, and everyone had a fantastic time!
