Last week, the Drama and Music Scholars visited London's West End to see Hadestown the musical. The show is based on the Ancient Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, who are the central characters throughout the performance. The storyline follows their love story as Orpheus ventured into the underworld to rescue Eurydice from the grasp of Hades — who, in turn, is struggling with his own troubled relationship with Persephone, who is now falling out of love with him.

We thoroughly enjoyed the dynamic musical numbers, which brought the plot to life and took us on an emotional rollercoaster. The cast was outstanding, with incredible voices that truly carried the story.

After the show, we capped off the evening with a delicious meal at Fat Hippo, making it a perfect end to a wonderful night.
