St Mary's Music Scholars travelled to Bristol for an uplifting music-filled evening at the Bristol Beacon, where they enjoyed a wonderful performance by the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
It was an amazing day for our equestrians at the St Mary's Horse Show, our annual arena eventing competition, at West Wilts Equestrian Centre last Saturday 18 January.
On Monday 20 January, the academic award holders gathered for their annual supper, celebrating academic excellence within the school community. In addition to the traditional (and highly competitive!) Scholars’ Quiz, we were joined by Toby Thompson, a performance poet from Bath.

Last week, our LIVs couldn’t contain their excitement as they had the chance to try cornet, trumpet, and trombone for the first time during their free taster term on brass instruments. The room was buzzing with excitement and curiosity as they tried getting a sound out of the instruments!
This Saturday 18 January, the highly anticipated St Mary's Horse Show, a NSEA Arena Eventing (JwS) National Championship Qualifier event, will take place at the West Wilts Equestrian Centre. With classes ranging from 70cm to 1m10 over a course of show jumps and arena style fences it is set to be an exciting day.
Wednesday's Music@Lunch concert, the third in our series, was a welcome burst of musical joy to celebrate the New Year, on such a dark and murky January day.
