On Thursday 28 November, the festive spirit was in full swing at Poore’s annual Company Supper! This year, we embraced the holiday cheer with a cosy Christmas pyjama party themed movie night. From Father Christmas to alpine skiers, Santa’s elves to Christmas presents, we all enjoyed the creativity of each other’s creative outfits and the cosy, joyful atmosphere - perfect for this time of year!
This year's eagerly awaited Fashion Show took place on Friday 29 November, and we were all thrilled to support Loving Humanity once again. It was the biggest show yet, with the catwalk bursting with impressive amounts of creativity, energy and flair!

On Sunday, Senior Drama Scholars participated in a highly enjoyable and inspiring weekend workshop focusing on puppet creation. This culminated in a 15-minute performance piece inspired by the stimuli from Mark Haddon's short story collection, Dogs and Monsters.
On Wednesday 27 November, the St Mary's Senior Debate Club sent two debate teams to South Wilts Grammar School in Salisbury to compete in the first round of the 66th English Speaking Union Mace Competition.
On Tuesday 26 November, John Sutherland, former Met Police hostage negotiator and bestselling author, delivered an inspiring Sixth Form lecture. He shared lessons on listening, emotional intelligence, and leaving a meaningful impact.
This week, our lunchtime music concert series, Music @ Lunch, celebrated Thanksgiving with an eclectic mix of impressive performances by musicians from both St Margaret's Prep and St Mary's.
Last Thursday, Mrs Baldwin, Mrs Bolton, Dr Fowler and Mrs Paddock excitedly set off in the school car - destination The Thomas Cubitt, London, to meet the Year of 2014 at their 10 Year Leavers event. Driving into London we wondered, ‘Would we recognise our former tutees and pupils after such a long period of time?’... we really should not have been worried!
This year’s Autumn Concert, themed Seasons Greetings, brought a festive glow to the school’s Chapel as our talented students delivered an evening of exceptional performances. The concert celebrated the remarkable musical achievements of the girls across a range of ensembles and styles, leaving the audience thoroughly inspired and feeling Christmas-ready.
