On Tuesday, we were delighted to welcome back Mr Kevin Wells, Chair of the Calne Food Bank, who kindly agreed to be interviewed in Chapel by UVI pupils Edith Fitzwilliam-Lay and Claire Dodd and Year 6 pupils from St Margaret's Prep, with all St Mary's pupils present, ahead of our Harvest Festival. 

On Wednesday 9 October,  we welcomed Deana Puccio Ferraro, a former Senior Assistant District Attorney from the Sex Crimes Special Victims Bureau in NYC and now Co-Founder of the RAP Project, to speak to our MIV and UIV students about navigating online safety and developing a healthy relationship with social media.

Excitement filled the air as everyone geared up for one of the year's most anticipated events - the Company Shout! - the grand finale of the Cecilia James Music Festival.

After weeks of preparation and practice, one of the most popular events of the year - the Cecilia James Music Festival - was celebrated on Friday, and to say it brought the roof down is no exaggeration!

With three strong teams, the U18 lacrosse teams arrived at the South West Regional Tournament full of enthusiasm and high hopes. All teams embodied the incredible 'Calne Girls Can' spirit - with the A team bringing home the Division 1 trophy!

On Tuesday, we had the privilege of hosting Fiona Boobbyer from the charity Justice and Care for an insightful and educational lecture on human trafficking and modern slavery, both in the UK and worldwide.

For Black History Month this year, the 4th Calne (St Mary's Calne) Guide and Ranger unit celebrated 'sheroes' - inspiring women from Black history.

A huge congratulations to Ruby (UVI) for being the first UVI student to submit her UCAS form today. Ruby has dreamed of becoming a vet since childhood, and she’s well on her way to making that dream a reality by applying to study Veterinary Medicine. 

School trips enhance learning by providing real-world experiences that bring subjects to life. Here, we report on recent trips enjoyed by our students in Geography and Economics.
