The LIV (Year 7) had an unforgettable trip to Bude last week, experiencing lots of different outdoor pursuits - from kayaking, surfing and climbing, to high ropes and body boarding!

The much-anticipated annual LV GCSE Geography trip to Dartmoor took place last week and was full of adventure, investigations and, of course, fun!

Congratulations to Katya (LV) who received a 'highly commended' award at the Oxford University Flash Fiction competition for her story, written in French, about a green worm.

Last September, six girls signed up to the newly launched one-to-one Music Production lessons with Mr Allard at St Mary’s. And what a year it’s been! 

Alex and Octavia's (both LV) Level 2 entry received a 'Commendation' in this year's Anthea Bell Prize for Young Translators. This was an impressive achievement given there were over 16,000 entries in this competition!

On Saturday, Flora H (UIV) competed in the 'Round the Island' sailing race around the Isle of Wight. 

On Monday 17th June, the LVI Politics students ran our own version of a General Election - but with a twist!

This week, our Art Scholars had the extraordinary opportunity to participate in a Graffiti Workshop in Bristol, a city renowned for its vibrant street art culture.

The Music Department have been delighted by the number of entries and the strength of the submissions this year's annual Songwriting Competition, making the task of shortlisting the entries - and choosing our winners - extremely difficult!

On Sunday 8th September, Mr Rose will be taking part in the Dart 10k. 'No, not a run, a swim! Other than starting to learn to swim four years ago, this will be my biggest swimming challenge to date', as he explains here.
